SMPlayer è un nuovo player multimediale che utilizza il motore di MPlayer per riprodurre i formati video e audio più popolari senza la necesità di codec esterni. Una delle caratteristiche più interessanti di SMPlayer, è quella di ricordare i settaggi impostati di tutti i file riprodotti, e quindi capace di riprendere la lettura dei film interrotti con i settaggi impostati in precedenza.

SMPlayer is a new multimedia player, it uses the award-winning MPlayer as engine, so it's able to play the most known video e audio formats without the need of external codecs. One of the most interesting features of SMPlayer: it remembers the settings of all files you play . So you start to watch a movie but you have to leave... don't worry, when you open that movie again it will resume at the same point you left it, and with the same settings: audio track, subtitles, volume...
