IconEdit2 è un potente editor di icone di facile utilizzo. Permette di disegnare, creare nuove icone all'istante catturando schermate, ricercare icone nei propri file, effettuare icone fotorealistiche da immagini digitali come foto. È inoltre possibile creare e modificare le icone per AOL Instant Messenger. Le icone possono essere salvate in formato JPEG, PNG e GIF.

IconEdit2 is easy-to-use and powerful icon editor and icon maker software. You can paint, undo/redo, search for icons in your files, and create new icons instantly by capturing screen areas. You can also create and edit buddy icons for AOL Instant Messenger. Typical icon size is 32x32 pixels (color points). There also are small icons (16x16) and large icons (48x48 or even more). Maximum number of colors, which an icon can contain, is often referred to as "color depth".
