Pidgin Pidgin e' un client multi-protocol di messaggeria instantanea (Instant Messaging), tramite il quale è possibile dialogale e chattare in tempo reale con utenti connessi che utilizzano anche programmi di messaggistica analoghi come ICQ, IRC, MSN, Yahoo, AIM, Google Talk, Zephyr, Bonjour, Gadu-Gadu, Groupwise, XMPP, SIMPLE, Sametime, QQ, SILC.

Pidgin is a multi-protocol Instant Messaging client that allows you to use all of your IM accounts at once. Pidgin can log in to multiple accounts on multiple IM networks simultaneously. This means that you can be chatting with friends on AIM, talking to a friend on Yahoo Messenger, and sitting in an IRC channel all at the same time.
